It’s Not Every Four Years, It’s Every Day
One of the most profound pioneers of the game, Fernandez continues to lead the Red, White and Blue in 2004. While her wall and scrapbook are possibly full of every softball award imaginable, there is one quote this 5’6” pitching legend continues to live by, “Never be Satisfied.” Leading the U.S. Women as the No. 1 workhorse in the circle, the UCLA graduate and assistant coach says “softball has opened doors she never thought possible. I have used lessons learned on the field in everyday life.” Fernandez was recently married to Michael Lujan and they reside in Long Beach, CA.
